In 2024, she founded STUDIO-US [DESIGN] to explore bold ideas, strengthen communities, and open new pathways for future architects. Stacey also serves in key leadership roles including Chair of AIA Florida’s I.D.E.A. Advisory Council, DEI Chair for AIA Fort Lauderdale, Immediate Past President of SoFlo NOMA, and Co-Chair of BAM Broward.

  Sarah Lower, AIA, is the founder and Principal Architect of LLG Architecture and a recognized leader in 3D concrete printed design, serving as architect of record for Florida’s first 3DCP dwelling. Sarah also serves on the board of AIA Northwest Florida and is an advocate for small firm owners and community-focused practice.

Although most occupants of a space don’t understand why they prefer one space over another with differing lighting designs, this program outlines specific factors to consider for improving the emotional connection within an interior space. Proper application of lighting placement, distribution, brightness ratios, acoustic materials, and LED color spectrum can result in aesthetics and physical comfort that exceed occupant expectations. Applying best practices with these design factors can enable gains in retail and hospitality patronage as well as improve employee wellness and retention in working environments.

  Every year, Florida architects visit lawmakers and policymakers in their offices in Tallahassee to advocate for issues, pass out AIA Florida posters and make connections that will improve the practice of architecture in the state. Your involvement is critical to the success of AIA Florida's advocacy efforts. Make plans to join us at the Capitol on Jan. 27.

  January 27, 2026

  8:30 -  10 a.m. - Legislative Day Briefing at Challenger Learning Center located at 200 S. Duval. This is a NEW location from previous years. It is also on top of the Kleman Plaza Parking Garage across from our previous meeting location.

  10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Legislative Day Visits and War Room located in 231 Senate Office Building open. The AIA Florida headquarters will be open with snacks during this time.

  4:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Legislative Day Reception at AIA Florida Headquarters located at 104 E Jefferson St.

  A block of rooms has been reserved at Aloft Downtown Tallahassee located at 200 N. Monroe Street for January 26 through January 28. The room rate is $289 plus tax. You may reserve your room HERE.
