The prize, which is awarded annually, celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of architecture, urban planning, and community development. On this momentous occasion of the Seaside Prize, the Seaside Institute is honored to bestow this recognition upon two distinguished individuals: Marieanne Khoury-Vogt, AIA and Erik Vogt. WALK YOUR PLANS TOUR/DEMONSTRATION
Walk Your Plans is an immersive, full-scale plan visualization experience that enables design professionals to physically walk through their floor plans before construction begins. Participants will explore how viewing a project at full scale enhances spatial comprehension, exposes potential safety and accessibility issues, and improves collaboration with clients and consultants. Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, attendees will learn how to integrate this tool into their design process to reduce errors, improve user safety, and achieve better built outcomes. Did you know that AIA Florida Northwest has funds available for scholarships to augment the participation costs in community leadership development programs that exist within our chapter region? Our intent is: 1) to increase the numbers of our members engaged in these programs, 2) to obtain tools, insights and relationships that will benefit our profession as a whole, and 3) to then create connections within our chapter communities demonstrating the value of architects in leadership roles.
