B&A Architectural Group Inc (BAAGI) is seeking an experienced Intern Architect to join our growing team in Pensacola, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated intern architect to be involved with various architectural projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong design and technical skills.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Involved in all phases of architectural projects, from programming and conceptual design through construction administration
- Serve as a designer, rendering artist and coordinator for various projects.
- Coordinate and integrate work across disciplines to ensure design intent and project goals
- Assist the architect to develop construction documentations and concept designs
- Assist the architect with project deliverables, ensuring quality control and compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Perform construction site visits, and prepare site observation reports
- Assist the architect with responses construction questions, review of submittals and shop drawings reviews
- Involved during permitting, bidding, coordination and specifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited university or community college and registered with NCARB IDP program
- 3-5+ years of work experience under licensed architect
- Strong working knowledge of construction documentation
- Proficiency in Revit is required and rendering software; Twin Motion knowledge a plus!
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to check own work and follow through with clients and consultants
- Willing to work in office and flexible enough to work remotely
