PensaCAN is a competition where teams create impressive structures made entirely out of full cans of food. Following a week-long display of the structures and voting, all food is then donated to Manna for distribution to our neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The AIA Florida Northwest Design and Honor Awards Program is the method by which the architectural profession honors members, advocates, and industry participants to encourage excellence in architecture, to elevate public consciousness of good planning and design, and to recognize those whose work or advocacy enriches the built environment.

AIA Florida Northwest has hosted a hugely popular gingerbread house competition in local elementary schools for the past few years. The turnout has averaged over 200 entries per year with hundreds of kids and their families attending each school's competition night.

Our Helping Hands Holiday Event aims to brighten up the holidays for local children who will be hospitalized in December.
Artistic and creative folks volunteer to decorate trees for children at Studer Family Children's Hospital. The trees will are delivered to the hospital, where the children pick out a tree of their choice. The children are able to take their tree and Holiday Card home with them upon leaving the hospital.
