AIA Florida Legislative Day

February 9, 2027

Every year, Florida architects visit lawmakers and policymakers in their offices in Tallahassee to advocate for issues, pass out AIA Florida posters and make connections that will improve the practice of architecture in the state. Your involvement is critical to the success of AIA Florida's advocacy efforts. Make plans to join us at the Capitol on Feb. 9.

  • Registration Closes

• January 19, 2027

  • 12 p.m. Eastern. Webinar for students attending Legislative Day. 

• January 26, 2027

  • 12 p.m. Eastern. All AIA Florida members attending Legislative Day should plan to attend the preparation webinar. 

• February 8, 2027

  • 12 - 4 p.m. AIA Florida Board Meeting at Florida Health Care Association located at 307 W. Park Ave, Tallahassee, FL. Board members and invited guests only.

  • 5 -6 p.m. - Student Reception at AIA Florida Headquarters located at 104 E. Jefferson St., Tallahassee, FL

• February 9, 2027

  • 8 - 9:30 a.m. - Breakfast and Legislative Day Briefing at Florida Health Care Association at 307 W. Park Ave. 

  • 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Visits at the Capitol. AIA Florida war room open at the Capitol. Lunch and snacks available at the AIA Florida Headquarters.

  • 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Reception at AIA Florida Headquarters.

A shuttle will be provided in the morning to take people from the Aloft to Florida Health Care Association for the briefing and to the Capitol after the briefing.

AIA Florida has a room block at Aloft Downtown Tallahassee. Attendees are encouraged to book accommodations as soon as possible. The block closes January 20, 2027 or when sold out. Whichever occurs first.
