GINGERBREAD CONTEST - CALL FOR JUDGES & SPONSORS
AIA Florida Northwest is gearing up for the hugely popular gingerbread house competition. Held in local elementary schools, the turnout has averaged over 200 entries per year with hundreds of kids and their families attending each school's competition event. DECEMBER CE LUNCHES
An Overview of Architectural Structural Deck: A Functional Focal-Point for Modern Aesthetics 1 HSW/LU Course also provides USGBC credit. The presentation will go in depth about architectural and acoustical long spanning metal floor and roof deck systems. These systems are utilized on several types of projects, big and small. Long spanning structural decks are sustainable too, so the presentation will touch upon all the benefits in design and construction. These systems provide a lot of benefits in providing multiple applications of being the structure, architectural ceiling, and even an acoustical ceiling. CEU Lunch Meetings are a benefit of membership in AIA Florida Northwest Any non-member attending will be charged $20 for cost of lunch.
