Leadership Development Scholarship

AIA Florida Northwest has recently established a leadership development scholarship program for its members.  The program's focus in to enable, at the chapter level, the AIA Florida's Jacob Leadership Institute mission: to build a robust pipeline of leaders to expand the profession's influence in the public setting.

The scholarship's purpose is to augment the participation costs in community leadership development programs that exist within our chapter region.  Our intent is:  1) to increase the numbers of our members engaged in these programs, 2) to obtain tools, insights and relationships that will benefit our profession as a whole, and 3) to then create connections within our chapter communities demonstrating the value of architects in leadership roles.

Our region currently has five established leadership programs which meet the goals of the scholarship:

Leadership Pensacola

Leadership Santa Rosa

Leadership Okaloosa

Leadership Bay

Leadership Walton County.

Information on each of the programs can be found online at the JLI resource center. ( )

The program applicants should apply for the scholarship through the AIA Florida Northwest Chapter. The current scholarship fund available is $800, with the intent to increase the amount in the future as well as supplement the Chapter allotment through fundraising programs and donations.

Applications are due May 15, 2017. See attached package for information regarding the application process, selection criteria, and release of funds.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity and look forward to seeing our members lead the future of Northwest Florida. Please use the application linked below and return to by May 31.
